Scope
The focus of this technical report is on fluidized catalytic cracking units (FCCUs), light ends recovery systems, and associated sour water processing equipment, where the majority of ACSCC damage has been reported. The project team has also chosen to include ACSCC in sour water stripper (SWS) units.
Rationale
This report is intended to provide the refining industry with a resource for current information that is available on ACSCC. This revision includes updated information, technology, and industry experience regarding the detection, prediction, and mitigation of ACSCC not available in the original report.
