1.1Â This test method covers the measurement of the degree of toluene discoloration caused by raw rCB and rCB extractables and is useful in controlling the thermal decomposition (pyrolysis) process of rubber goods into raw rCB and rCB. This measurement also provides a valuable product parameter for the user of the material, for example, for ESH regulations or purchasing specifications.
1.2Â The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
1.3Â This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
