Side Boom and Rotating Pipelayers
Volume B30.14 includes provisions that apply to the construction, installation, operation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of side boom and rotating pipelayers powered by an internal combustion engine used for pipe laying or lifting operations, utilizing a lifting boom, drum, steel wire or synthetic rope, and/or hydraulic cylinders. The requirements included in this Volume are for side boom and rotating pipelayers with rated loads of 1 ton or more when used for lifting purposes.
